Why Guns

"A frequent question in the U.S.A. is
Why do we need guns?"

Let's begin with the fact that this site is NON-Partisan. The primary belief is in "Freedom of Choice". What that means is people should be allowed to believe in what they wish. Now will others always agree with them, of course not. Does that make that choice wrong, absolutely not. Now what is important about that philosophy is, you can try and convince a person you are correct. Yous must not force a person to believe or force a person to follow that belief. This site is intended to share facts about some topics that may already be understood. Hence maybe giving insight into things overlooked in emotional situations. Hopefully logical conclusions will be shared.

The founding father's specifically James Madison (whom wrote the Bill of Rights) believed the Key Reasons for the Second Amendment were:

Self-Defense & Property Protection: A fundamental belief that individuals have a right to protect themselves, their families, and their property from unlawful threats, including criminals or oppressive government forces.
Security of a Free State (Militias): It addressed fears of large, professional standing armies (seen as threats to liberty) by ensuring states could maintain well-regulated militias, composed of armed citizens, as the primary defense.
Preventing Tyranny: The Founders believed an armed populace was essential to resist potential government overreach, fostering self-reliance and civic virtue needed for self-government.
Historical Context: Drawing from English common law and colonial experiences, the right to bear arms was viewed as a traditional liberty, vital for a free people.

Any minor turning point or shift in focus within a long sentence required a comma, creating highly fragmented prose.
